De Vroedt & Thierry was founded in 1976 and has since then focused on the field of executive search and leadership consultancy. Nearly 45 years ago, Johan de Vroedt and Joan Thierry established the ‘job advice bureau for top management’. Convinced that a company performs better if it is led by excellent talent, they quickly occupied a unique position in the Dutch market.

De Vroedt & Thierry’s creativity and quality in presenting candidates for senior management positions, executive boards and supervisory board made the company visible and well-known. Even in those days, the firm managed to attract a wide range of customers, including listed companies, family businesses, private equity funds, cultural and public / private institutions, supervisory boards and NGOs.

In 2009 De Vroedt & Thierry established a new direction, following the takeover of the firm with the addition of new shareholders, who further developed it into an international, contemporary and high-quality agency in the field of executive search and leadership consultancy. Based on years of acquiring an in-depth understanding of selection processes and closely following current developments, we have been able to design our selection process more systematically and improve our ability to predict a candidates’ future success. Thereby helping clients improve their performance while positively influencing and future proofing their organisation.
